Hello, I’m Myriam, a storyteller, facilitator and community organiser.

For over seven years, I have been working in the non-profit sector, mainly as a professional communicator, campaigner and training facilitator. I have built my career and my expertise as an advocate for social justice, inclusive communication and equitable practices. I have had the chance to work on communication, storytelling, intersectionality and inclusion with the European Commission, Garance ASBL, Gams Belgium, the End FGM European Network, the Red Cross EU Office and the IPPF Europe and Central Asia.

Working with diverse communities, organisations and institutions, I am continually inspired by the power of purposeful collaboration, understanding and empathy in driving positive social impact.

Communication Matters

Communication is at the heart of social change. Whether through public campaigns or interpersonal dialogue, the way we communicate shapes our realities. For our realities to be different, we need to do a better job connecting with others. In my work on gender-based violence, decoloniality and antiracism, I have seen first-hand the consequences of harmful narratives in holding us back and cutting us off from solidarity and compassion. Misused and weaponised communication, at all levels, is what allows harmful narratives to persist and communication is also what will allow us to challenge them.

My approach: empathy and co-creation

I bring an empathetic and hopeful approach to all my projects.

The world is increasingly polarised. Divisive ideologies are gaining traction everywhere.

Working on social justice can often feel like an impossible battle against tides of backlash.

In moments of frustration and grief, it is easy to slide into blaming each other for what is happening. It is easy to become controlling and cruel in our way of holding each other accountable when we feel like we have no other way to feel in control.

But our power will not be found in self-policing; it lies in building understanding across artificial divides and co-creating our common vision for the future.

I believe that most of us working on social justice have good intentions even if we are sometimes misled in our strategies. I believe in accountability and reparations and I believe that people can lack information, make mistakes and even cause harm and still be worthy of being heard and talked to with compassion.

No one is disposable in our path towards liberation.

This belief shapes the way I approach my writing, workshops and consultancy work. We co-create judgment-free spaces where people can engage in honest dialogue, exchange ideas and navigate difficult conversations authentically.

Part of our work together will be providing everyone involved with the tools to foster understanding and move through disagreements in a constructive way.

If you’re looking for support in building inclusive narratives, designing impactful campaigns or fostering meaningful community engagement, I would love to help.

I work mostly in English and in French. I use she/her pronouns.
