Decoloniality Narrative, Terminology & Imagery Audit With Countdown 2030 Europe | May 2024 – January 2025
I conducted a decoloniality language and imagery audit of Countdown 2030 Europe’s materials and campaigns. This participatory process engaged the Decoloniality Task Force and Consortium Members through workshops and discussions. Deliverables included an audit report, an FAQ addressing internal resistances, a training session and decolonial communication guidelines.
Youth-led Podcast Project: "The Purple Chair" With End FGM EU | February 2023 – February 2024
I coordinated and facilitated the co-creation of The Purple Chair Podcast, a youth-led podcast amplifying the voices of youth from FGM-affected communities. I supported six youth hosts in creating their podcast series from concept development to episode scripting, recording and editing. The podcast was launched in October 2024.
Creation of the 2023-2027 Network Communication Strategy With End FGM EU | February to December 2022
I led the development of the first End FGM European Network Communication Strategy, covering 2023-2027. I worked to ensure that it was a participatory process aligned with the Network’s broader strategic consultative processes. I organised key internal discussions to assess needs, define priorities and shape a collective vision for the Network’s external communication. The result was a clear, actionable and measurable strategy that provided staff and members with guiding principles, milestones and tools to strengthen the network’s unified voice.
Lecture on Racialised Bodies in Healthcare With GAMS Belgium | December 2024
I designed and delivered a lecture to a group of Belgian midwives about racialised bodies in healthcare, encouraging them to question biases in their practice and address everyday barriers to quality healthcare for all. We reflected together on historical and systemic oppression, identity, privilege and cognitive bias. The session also provided a space to discuss doubts, past mistakes and concrete good practices to implement in their work.
DEI training - hard conversations around LGBTI rights With European Commission HR Directorate-General | May 2023
On the international day against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in 2023, I designed and delivered a training for HR staff facing resistance to discussions on LGBTI rights. My session focused on non-violent communication and cross-cultural communication techniques and provided tools to navigate difficult DEI conversations with seemingly hostile and defensive interlocutors.
